De la supervivencia al movimiento cómo padres ignorados están cambiando el sistema con The Mother Cloud

From Survival to Movement: How Ignored Parents Are Changing the System with The Mother Cloud

The problem: When raising children with dignity becomes an act of resistance

New York City depends on parents like you and me.
Single mothers. Immigrants. Essential workers. People raising children without inheritance, without a safety net, and without respite. And while the city stands on their shoulders, it doesn't return the same commitment:

  • They promise help... but deny it due to bureaucratic errors
  • Hablan de la importancia de la crianza… pero niegan cuidado infantil accesible
  • They demand that you prioritize your children... while forcing you to work twice as hard to pay the rent.
  • They say you “must be present”… but they push you to survive, not raise

How do you raise children with love when you can barely breathe?

My story: from collapsed mother to leader of a movement

I'm Amy, founder of The Mother Cloud.
And before I was an educator or a principal, I was a single mother, scared, without a network, without childcare, and without time.

  • I was the one who cried in the shower because I didn't know who to leave my son with.
  • I turned down jobs because “my schedule didn’t fit”
  • He made deliveries in the early morning and then cleaned houses for hours.
  • Y me pregunté: ¿Esto es todo lo que hay para nosotras?

But something inside me told me: It can't be. We are not alone. And we didn't come here to settle.
That's how The Mother Cloud was born: not as a business, but as a rebellion.

The Mother Cloud Daycare: A Disruptive Daycare Founded by a Single Mother

The Mother Cloud Daycare is not a service. It's a response:

  • To the loneliness of raising without a net
  • To the guilt imposed by a system that does not help
  • To the institutional abandonment that punishes those who care

What we created (and you can live):

  • 🕒 A model with real schedules, not ideal ones
  • 💳 Affordable memberships for real economies
  • 🧠 Emotional community where you can arrive as you are
  • 🧰 Workshops and support for you too, not just your children
  • 🌍 A movement where tú no eres cliente: eres parte del cambio

We are not a brand with ambassadors.
You—mothers, fathers, caregivers—are the brand.

This isn't a service. It's a revolution in its infancy.

We are:

  • 💥 Breaking cycles of trauma, poverty, and guilt
  • ✊ Redefining what it means to raise children with dignity
  • 🌱 Proving that healing while you raise sí es posible
  • 🔥 Making noise where before there was only silence

Y we are not alone.
Every family that comes to The Mother Cloud se convierte en parte del movimiento.

And you? Will you continue surviving or will you build with us?

🔸 Have you been made to feel guilty for studying, working, or just wanting a break?
🔸 Do you feel minimized, invisible, or judged in your motherhood/fatherhood?
🔸 Do you want to raise your children from a place of love, not fear or exhaustion?

It was a broken system. But here, we're rebuilding something new.

A place where nurturing is healing.
Where work is possible.
And where you matter too.

No. There's room here for all working families: single parents, couples, migrants, people in transition, or living with trauma.
